Kiranmai Uppuluri, MSc, who won the Falling Walls contest in Autumn, has recently visited Dresden to take part in the Building Bridges conference. Uppuluri was one of our representatives, including Piotr Cywi\u0144ski, Adam Filipkowski, PhD, and Kamil Pier\u015bci\u0144ski, PhD.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Building Bridges conference took place on 16th-17th May 2023 at the International Congress Center in Dresden, Germany. It was organized by Helmhotz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf to create a common platform for Czech, German, and Polish scientists to meet and explore opportunities for scientific collaborations, especially in the fields of health, climate and artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eThe keynote speech by Prof. Miguel Mahecha appealed to my interests in remote sensing for environmental applications\u201d \u2013 said Kiranmai Uppuluri, MSc. \u201eSince I am currently working on biodegradable sensors in the TESLA &#8211; Transient Electronics for Sustainable ICT in DigitaL Agriculture project, the work presented by Dr. Denys Makarov about biodegradable magnetic field sensors was the most interesting for me during the session on disruptive technologies\u201d \u2013 she added.<\/p>\n<p>During the panel discussion, one scientist and one politician from each country were present, and this included the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic. \u201eI learnt a lot from the speeches and it was great to meet such brilliant minds from Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany.
