On Monday, we had a very special guest in our Institute – Carlos Lee, Director General of EPIC – EUROPEAN PHOTONICS INDUSTRY CONSORTIUM.  In an interesting meeting, we experienced the philosophy of EPIC on how to strengthen links between Łukasiewicz – IMiF and photonic industry.

In return, Carlos had an opportunity to see our Infrared Photonics Lab and to discuss with our experts Kamil Pierściński, Ph.D., Eng. and Aleksandr Kuźmicz, Ph.D. about the potential behind the flexibility of our approach to developing new photonic devices.

Carlos was also the first guest to be photographed in our brand new human-size Łukasiewicz – IMIF frame – it was a kind of red ribbon cutting ceremony. No wonder our Director Bolesław Kołodziejczyk and Head of the Commercialization Department Piotr J. Cywiński had to be there too.
