„Predom as a part of Łukasiewicz – IMiF will cooperate in terms of R&D activities with DAEYOUNG CHAEVI and POSCO International Corporation. Together with our new partners and Polish companies that are CPOs (Charge Point Operators), we will introduce Korean products combined with Polish technological solutions to the European market,” says Przemysław Bałkowiec, Chief Business Development Specialist at Łukasiewicz – IMiF, Predom Division.
“As part of this collaboration, we aim to undertake joint R&D projects and subsequently facilitate the effective commercialization of the project results,” adds Piotr Cywiński, leader of the international cooperation.
Director Piotr Guzdek signed, on behalf of Łukasiewicz – IMiF, an intent letter regarding technological and commercial cooperation with the Korean company Daeyoung Chaevi for the development of new electric vehicle charger models.
Chaevi is not only involved in charger design but is also their manufacturer in their own facility in Gumi, with headquarters in Daegu and Seoul.
The chargers developed in cooperation with our Institute will be introduced to the Polish and European markets. We also plan to work on increasing the number of local Polish components, including technological solutions offered by Łukasiewicz – IMiF. The parties will also explore the possibility of utilizing our Institute’s long-standing achievements and capabilities in providing electronic components.
At our PREDOM branch, we will conduct activities related to component research and certification, as well as finished products, ensuring compliance with Polish and EU standards.
